As part of our journey, KwikPrint participated in the 5G Innovation Hackathon, organized by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Government of India. The hackathon brought together some of the country's most promising startups, innovators, and student teams, all working towards solving real-world problems through technology.
Competing against hundreds of innovative ideas from across India, we were incredibly proud to be selected among the Top 50 teams to reach the Grand Finale.
Even more encouraging was being awarded ₹1,00,000 in seed funding by the Government of India to support the continued development of KwikPrint.
For us, this wasn't just financial support — it was a powerful vote of confidence.
It validated our belief that the challenges we experienced as students weren't isolated problems, but issues faced by millions across educational institutions, workplaces, and public spaces throughout the country. More importantly, it reaffirmed that the solution we were building had the potential to scale far beyond a single campus.
The recognition from the Department of Telecommunications has strengthened our commitment to pushing the boundaries of smart, autonomous printing. Every milestone like this motivates us to innovate faster, build better technology, and reach more users.
While this achievement marks an important chapter in our journey, we see it as just the beginning.
The ₹1 lakh seed grant is not simply an award — it is an investment in a vision.
A vision where printing is no longer limited by queues, shop timings, or accessibility. A vision where smart kiosks make document printing as seamless as any modern digital service. And ultimately, a vision of building the technology that powers India's printing revolution.
