Meeting Aman Gupta: A Moment That Strengthened Our Belief
Every startup has moments that reinforce why you started in the first place. For us, one such moment came within the very first month of installing our first KwikPrint kiosk.
We had the opportunity to showcase our product to Aman Gupta, Co-founder and CMO of boAt and one of the most recognized investors on Shark Tank India.
What began as a simple product demonstration soon turned into a conversation about a much larger opportunity.
We discussed the state of the printing industry in India — a market that serves millions every day, yet continues to rely on outdated processes, long queues, limited accessibility, and fragmented service providers. We shared our vision of how autonomous, technology-driven printing kiosks could transform an industry that had seen very little innovation for years.
What stood out during the interaction was not just the appreciation for the technology, but the recognition of the problem we were trying to solve.
After understanding the product and its potential, Aman summed up his thoughts in a single sentence that has stayed with us ever since:
"Solid idea hai, boss."
Sometimes, a few genuine words from someone who has built one of India's most successful consumer brands can mean more than pages of feedback.
His affirmation wasn't just a compliment — it was validation that we were building something meaningful. It strengthened our belief that a simple idea, when executed well, can solve real-world problems at scale.
That conversation became another source of motivation for our team. On days filled with debugging software, resolving hardware issues, managing operations, and overcoming countless startup challenges, those words reminded us why we had started this journey.
Today, as KwikPrint continues to expand beyond its first deployment, we still carry that encouragement with us.
Because while building a startup is never easy, believing in the idea — and having others believe in it too — can make all the difference.
